It isn’t! But we hear that all the time. You don’t need to be at home for the scheduled pickup and delivery. In fact, most people prefer to simply leave their clothes outside. So we spoke with our couriers to get some tips.
Our couriers have full routes all across the city. Even though we offer customised time slots, we want to make your life easier. We are happy to pick up or deliver clothes in the place you authorise so everything is easier for you.
Tip #1: keep it simple and routine
Confusion happens when things get complicated. Our drivers are full-time employees; just like your postman, they get used to their daily routes. After getting to know your pickups and deliveries, they get into a rhythm. Instead of changing every week, you’ll get better and more consistent results if you keep the same designated place for your clothes in every order. Don’t overcomplicate the situation and let us know in advance.
Tip #2: choose a hidden and covered place
If you worry about your clothes, you’re human. We care about your clothes as much as you do. And we wouldn’t like anything to happen to them.
Unfortunately, porch or doorstep theft is something that can happen. And although we’ve never had an order stolen, it may be convenient to be discreet.
Choosing a covered place will help prevent rain or sun from causing problems. What’s the point of ironed clothes if they’re soaked? Help us by detailing this in the delivery notes through your account. This is important because Laundry Plan is only responsible for orders while they are in our care.
Tip #3: leave us a note for your next pickup
Let us know before we go to your home. From the “My next order” section in your account you can specify where you want us to pick up or deliver your clothes.
On the other hand, a sticky note on the door explaining where you moved your clothes can prevent the courier from thinking you forgot to leave them out and continuing with the route.
Tip #4: keep the area clean and tidy
Keeping your pickup and delivery area clean may not matter much when we pick up, but it definitely matters when we deliver your clean clothes.
By sweeping or cleaning your designated delivery spot, you help us make sure we deliver your clothes as clean as possible.
